This exclusive experience includes return airfare for two from Toronto to New York, two nights in a New York City hotel and two tickets to the U2 show at Giants Stadium on September 24, 2009 Bid quickly as this item will only be up for 1 week. One can’t argue with the fact that U2 are one of the biggest bands in the world. So, we’re not going to talk about who they are and their influence. You probably already know all of that. After all, they’ve been around since 1976. Instead, we’re going to tell you a 360° story about U2 and War Child. In 1995, U2 and Brian Eno released an album called "Original Soundtracks" under the pseudonym Passengers. The album consisted of songs written for mostly imaginary movies. "Original Soundtracks" is highly experimental, and remains rather obscure. The liner notes for the album include descriptions of the "movies" for which the songs were written, and include "easter eggs", i.e., inside jokes and hidden references. We’re rather fond of Track #13 "Theme song from The Swan". The "easter egg" for this track is JOSEPH MAMAT. "Joseph Mamat" is an anagram of James Topham, Director of Marketing for War Child Canada and former General Manager of Brian Eno's publishing and management office. James once accidentally hung up the phone on Bono. Bono was very gracious about it. Bono also recently performed at a War Child gig in London, alongside two other bands you may have heard of: Coldplay and The Killers. And so, there’s our 360° story about U2 and War Child. U2’s 360° Tour is presented by Blackberry. Bid now and hopefully you’ll come back from New York City with your very own U2 story to add to ours! All auction items have been generously donated and all money raised will go toward’s our programming. More items are being offered every day, so keep checking the site for updates.
